App Blueprint: What Our $299 Technical MVP Blueprint Includes

An app blueprint is the plan your app is built from: what goes into the first version, what it will cost, how it's architected, how it makes money and what could go wrong. Without one, every quote you receive is a guess and every build drifts. With one, you can compare teams fairly, raise money with a real plan and hold your developer to a fixed price. This page explains what an app blueprint should contain and exactly what's in ours.
App blueprint vs software requirements document
A traditional software requirements document (or app requirements document) lists what the software must do. That's necessary but not sufficient for a founder. It doesn't tell you whether those requirements are the right ones, what they'll cost, or how the app will make money. A blueprint covers the requirements and the business decisions around them, and ends with a price.
| Requirements document | Technical MVP Blueprint | |
|---|---|---|
| Feature list | Yes | Yes, cut to the 3 to 5 the MVP needs |
| What to leave out | Rarely | Yes, with the reasons |
| Architecture and tech stack | Sometimes | Yes |
| Fixed build price and timeline | No | Yes |
| Pricing and profitability plan | No | Yes |
| Risk assessment | Sometimes | Yes: technical, market and launch risks |
What's in the Synaptix Technical MVP Blueprint
- The 3 to 5 features your MVP actually needs, and what to cut: who your users are, the problem they'll pay to solve, and why everything else waits until revenue proves it.
- A fixed build price and timeline: your full app development cost and delivery schedule, locked before you commit to a build.
- Architecture and tech stack: high-level system design, technology choices and scalability considerations, so you never pay for a rewrite.
- A pricing and profitability plan: the revenue model, what to charge and the path to profitability.
- The risks we see before you spend a dollar on code: technical, market and launch risks, plus the tradeoffs for handling each.
The terms
- $299, one-time.
- Delivered in 7 business days, or you get a full refund.
- 100% credited to your build if you build with us.
- Yours to keep: take it to any developer team.
Why a paid discovery phase is cheaper than a free quote
Free quotes are based on whatever the developer imagines your app to be, so they can't be held to anything. Discovery is real work, and most agencies charge separately for it. We price it low on purpose, because the most expensive mistake founders make is building the wrong thing: starting to code immediately and finding out months later that the product, market or tech stack was wrong. For the cost of about a day of developer time, the Blueprint fixes the scope and price before any of that money is at risk.
What happens after the Blueprint
If you build with us, the fixed-price build takes 4 to 8 weeks with our in-house senior team for web, iOS and Android. You pay per milestone you approve, own 100% of the code, get 30 days of post-launch fixes, and are covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee: if you don't like the product within 30 days after launch, you get all your money back. If you'd rather build elsewhere, the Blueprint goes with you.
A look at the Blueprint process
- Free 30-minute fit call: we review your idea and tell you honestly if it's viable.
- If we both think you're ready, we send a payment link for the $299 Blueprint.
- Over 7 business days, our product and architecture leads work through your users, features, revenue model, architecture and risks with you.
- You receive the Blueprint: MVP scope, fixed build price and timeline, architecture, pricing and profitability plan, and risk assessment.
- You decide: build with us (the $299 is credited) or take the Blueprint to any team.
Who it's not for
The Blueprint isn't the right fit if you already have a detailed, validated specification and a technical team ready to build it, or if you're looking for ongoing staff augmentation rather than a product. On the fit call we'll say so, and if we're not the right fit we'll recommend someone who is.
