Who we are

Synaptix ("Synaptix", "we", "us") is a software development agency based in Bel Air, Maryland, USA. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit synaptix.software or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

Information you give us

When you book a fit call or send us a message, we collect:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Anything you tell us about your project.
  • Your answer, if you choose to give one, to "How did you hear about Synaptix?".

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, we and our analytics and advertising partners collect information through cookies, pixels and similar technologies:

  • Pages you view, buttons you click, how far you scroll and how you move through the site.
  • Device and browser type, approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address), language and the site that referred you.
  • Campaign information from the link you arrived on, such as UTM tags and ad click identifiers (for example Google's gclid or Meta's fbclid). We store these in your browser and, if you contact us, save them with your enquiry so we know which marketing brought you to us.

Analytics and advertising partners

  • Google Analytics and Google Ads measure site usage and the performance of our ads. When you submit a form, a hashed (encrypted, one-way) copy of your email address may be shared with Google to attribute conversions ("enhanced conversions"). See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) measures the results of our Meta ads and lets us show ads to people who have visited our site. Information you enter in a form may be hashed and matched with Meta accounts ("advanced matching"). See Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Analytics provides privacy-friendly, aggregate traffic statistics without cookies.

How we use information

  • To reply to you, schedule calls and provide the services you ask for.
  • To understand how visitors use the site and improve it.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, including showing our ads to people who have visited the site.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that limit how they use it:

  • Supabase, which hosts our database.
  • Brevo, which delivers our internal email notifications.
  • Vercel, which hosts the website.
  • Google and Meta, as described above.
  • Authorities, if required by law.

Your choices

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states with privacy laws, the EEA or the UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" of personal information for that purpose. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business for the rest.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiries and the information attached to them for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records, generally no longer than three years after our last contact with you unless you become a client. Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

Children

The site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
